Persons with Disabilities (PWDs) of Kabankalan city were capacitated to become entrepreneurs, while also gaining awareness on protection against gender-based harassment.

The activity was held on March 30, 2026, at the Kabankalan Training Center and is part of the City Social Welfare and Development (CSWD) Office’s lined-up activities in celebration of National Women’s Month.

The activity was attended by participants from all 32 barangays and was organized by the Persons with Disabilities Affairs Office (PDAO), led by Focal Person Salinor Talaman.

Ms. Precious Apryl Cayot, PDO II, facilitated a workshop on budgeting, saving, and starting small businesses suited to the participants’ skills. In the afternoon, Ms. Jean Palmares, SWO I, discussed Republic Act 11313, or the Safe Spaces Act, emphasizing protection against gender-based harassment.

The event was also attended by representatives of city officials, including Executive Assistants Sir Jovy Seron and Sir Jose Novo Dagunan, and CSWDO Head Ma’am Cyril Ramos.
