The Kabankalan City Agriculture Office recently distributed 70,000 fish fingerlings to local residents and fishing associations to enhance food security and create sustainable income.

The initiative provided high-demand species:

50,000 Tilapia fingerlings and 20,000 Hito (Catfish) fingerlings.

City Agriculturist Ricky Muscosa spearheaded the distribution yesterday April 7,2026, joined by Project Development Officer I Antonio Aguirre, Rocky Shem Agoyong, the AEW Fishery Technician and CFARMC Coordinator, Vice Mayor Divina Miranda, SP Member Helen Q. IbaΓ±ez and SP Ptr. John Antolo, the Committee Chairman on Agriculture.

The program aims to transform local ponds into productive assets, helping families grow their own food and develop small businesses.
