Kabankalan City achieved double victory at the 2026 Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards held at Okada Manila on April 22 2026.

𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗰𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗻𝗮𝗺𝗲𝗱 𝗖𝗲𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗳𝗶𝗲𝗱 𝗠𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗦𝘂𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗟𝗶𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗯𝗹𝗲 𝗖𝗶𝘁𝘆 (𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆), a testament to its successful implementation of sustainable development and green initiatives projects.

Complementing this achievement,𝗠𝗮𝘆𝗼𝗿 𝗕𝗲𝗻𝗷𝗶𝗲 𝗠. 𝗠𝗶𝗿𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗮 𝘄𝗮𝘀 𝗵𝗮𝗶𝗹𝗲𝗱 𝗮𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗛𝗼𝗻𝗼𝗿𝗮𝗿𝘆 𝗟𝗼𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗖𝗵𝗶𝗲𝗳 𝗘𝘅𝗲𝗰𝘂𝘁𝗶𝘃𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗬𝗲𝗮𝗿 (𝗕𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗖𝗮𝘁𝗲𝗴𝗼𝗿𝘆). The committee recognized Mayor Miranda for his performance as a City Mayor and selfless contribution to the attainment of the Sustainable Development Goals contributing towards nation-building.

The event also honored several distinguished individuals, including: Atty. Jose Dominic F. Clavano IV, ​Assistant Ombudsman, Office of the Ombudsman; BGen. Michael L. Romero, Founding Chairman, Association of Reservist and Reservist Administrators of the Philippines; and Atty. Melvin A. Matibag, Director, National Bureau of Investigation (NBI).
