Maverick Band was formally recognized during the flag-raising ceremony on April 20, 2026, after emerging as champion in the Panaad sa Negros 2026 Battle of the Bands.
Mayor Benjie M. Miranda, together with Atty. Mac Lord Zafra, SP Helen Ibaรฑez, and Pastor John Antolo, commended the group for bringing honor and pride to the city through their outstanding performance.
Mayor Miranda expressed his continued support for local talents, awarding two scholarships to band members who are still on their studies.
The band showcased an exceptional presentation during the competition held at Panaad Park on April 16, with its members Miko Daniel Delera (Drums), Gospel B. Pacheo (Guitar), Jullian Lance A. Maรฑas (Guitar), Aliya D. Dela Cruz (Vocalist), and Theartz Jhon B. Camacho (Bass).
They also received multiple individual recognitions, including Best Vocalist, Best Lead Guitarist, Best Keyboardist, Best Bassist, and Best Musicality.
