The City Government of Kabankalan, led by Mayor Benjie Miranda, successfully celebrated National Womenβs Month 2026 through a Digital Pubmat Contest held on March 25, 2026, at the Kabankalan City Hall Lobby.
Anchored on the theme βPurple Power: Women Leading the Way β Strong Minds, Strong Leaders Today,β the activity highlighted the creativity, empowerment, and leadership of women employees from various city government departments.
Vice Mayor Divina Gracia Miranda graced the event and delivered an inspiring message emphasizing equality between men and women. She underscored that despite diversity and lifeβs challenges, women continue to stand strong, resilient, and steadfast in their roles in society.
The following employees were recognized for their outstanding entries:

The Peopleβs Choice Award was given to the City Civil Registry Office of Kabankalan, garnering a total of 964 hearts.
Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Helen IbaΓ±ez also attended the event, showing her support for initiatives that promote women empowerment and gender equality in the workplace.
The activity was spearheaded by the Human Resource Management Office (HRMO) under the leadership of Aileen Trujillo and her staff, as part of the cityβs continuing commitment to uphold gender and development (GAD) programs.
The celebration was further enlivened with giveaways for women employees, along with a photo booth and light refreshments, fostering camaraderie and appreciation among participants.
