The City Government of Kabankalan, under the leadership of Mayor Benjie Miranda and Vice Mayor Divina Gracia Miranda, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), distributed a total of β‚±1,152,000 in financial assistance to 96 octogenarians on April 8, 2026, at the City Hall Lobby.

Of the beneficiaries, 73 senior citizens aged 80–84 and 23 aged 85–89 each received β‚±12,000 in financial support, as part of the city’s continuing commitment to honor and assist its elderly residents.

During the activity, Jose Novo Dagunan, Executive Officer, delivered an inspiring message reaffirming the city government’s dedication to safeguarding the welfare and well-being of senior citizens.

Meanwhile, Cyril Ramos, Chief of CSWDO, highlighted that the initiative reflects the city’s sustained efforts to provide meaningful assistance and strengthen social protection programs for Kabankalan’s senior population.
