The City Government of Kabankalan, under the leadership of Mayor Benjie Miranda and Vice Mayor Divina Gracia Miranda, through the City Social Welfare and Development Office (CSWDO), successfully distributed a total of β‚±1,188,000 in financial assistance to 99 octogenarians on April 7, 2026, at the City Hall Lobby.

A total of 70 senior citizens aged 80–84 and 29 aged 85–89 each received β‚±12,000 in financial benefits, as part of the city’s ongoing commitment to support and recognize its elderly population.

Sangguniang Panlungsod Member Helen IbaΓ±ez delivered an inspiring message during the activity, reaffirming the city government’s continued dedication to the welfare and well-being of senior citizens.

CSWDO Chief Cyril Ramos emphasized that the initiative forms part of the city’s sustained efforts to provide meaningful assistance and social protection to its senior residents.
