HISTORY

Barangay 3 – Poblacion was organized last July 5, 1976 by the MILG and the town
officials by the virtue of PD No. 86, with Antonio Moreño as the appointed Barangay
Captain.
After the May 17, 1982 Barangay Officials Election, Noe Marasigan was
proclaimed the winner against his opponent, Antonio Moreño.
Here are the names of Captains/Chairman of Barangay 3 Previous years, Antonio
Moreño from 1976-1982, Noel Marasigan from 1982-1988, Ernesto Tingson/ Amador
Aguirre from 1988-1992, Emmanuel Rufin from 1993-1997, Frieda Jacildo from 1997-2002,
2002-2007, 2007-2010, Arnel John O. Cagape from 2010-2018, and now we have here our
own Punong Barangay Daryl John T. Garolacan 2018 up to present.
Barangay 3 is situated in the center of the Poblacion, with Repullo St., Sola St.,
Guanzon St., Villaflora, Tan Lorenzo St., G. Cordova St., Bañares St., (formerly Bonifacio
St.,) Rivera St., Lirazan St., and EMZ Compound.
Barangay 3 has a total area of fifteen hectares approximately which is for
commercial and residential use.
