History
Each places has its own story to tell and a history that was a big factor of that
places’ success and stability all throughout the years. A history that would express how
diverse the place is but how unified people were to achieve success and social camaraderie.
With that, this chapter will tell us about the rich history of the barangay and how it achieved
its name.
Coloso Street Barangay VI was known before as Kalye Ilahod (a place that is
situated near with a body of water most especially a river) situated along the Ilog River

and also elected as Cabesa Mayor (Barangay Captain or Chieftain) of Kalye Ilahod also
known as Kalye Paterno before and after World War II. Later that time
KalyePaterno/Ilahod changed its name into Kalye Coloso to honor the Chieftain Alejo
Coloso that brings life and hope to the community. The dialect that widely used by the

Mango, Purok Sambag, Purok Tar Apple, Purok Mangga, Purok Chico, Purok Avocado
