In light of Proclamation No.368 issued on October 11, 2023 which declared Saturday, February 10, 2024, as a special non-working day throughout the country in celebration of Chinese New Year, an additional special non-working day has been declared on Friday, February 9, 2024.

This declaration by the Malacanian Palace aims to provide the citizens with ample time to fully partake in the festivities of the Chinese New Year and take advantage of an extended weekend and to enjoy the benefits of a longer break.
