The city was officially recognized as a Certified Most Sustainable and Liveable City (Blue Category)—a testament to its successful implementation of sustainable development and green initiatives.

Complementing this milestone, Mayor Miranda was hailed as the Honorary Local Chief Executive of the Year (Blue Category) during the 2026 Nation Builders and MOSLIV Awards held at Okada Manila on April 22, 2026. He was recognized for his exemplary performance as City Mayor and his selfless contribution to advancing the Sustainable Development Goals toward nation-building.

He was also named a Saludo Excellence Awardee for Outstanding Humanitarian and Leadership Service during the 10th Saludo Excellence Award held on April 12, 2026, at The Manila Hotel.
