The Sustainable Livelihood Program Association (SLPA) of Barangay 6, through its Meat and Lechon Shop SLP Kabankalan, has been tapped as the supplier for the Supplementary Feeding Program (SFP) under the Early Childhood Care and Development (ECCD) for School Year 2025–2026.
The program, which aims to provide nutritious meals to children, covers a total of 5,782 learners with an allocated budget of ₱17,346,000.00 from the National Government for the entire year.
On August 15, 2025, the association made its initial delivery of 201 kilos of fresh pork to four Child Development Centers in the city, officially starting their engagement in the feeding program.
The City Government of Kabankalan,led by Mayor Benjie Miranda lauded the initiative the importance of empowering local associations to contribute to community development, together with Regional Director Arwin Razo and the DSWD Negros Island Region, expressed their support and trust in the group of fathers behind the SLPA, who are venturing into livelihood and entrepreneurship to provide for their families while serving the community.
